Join the Artful Gene team for a festive evening of science songs to celebrate the holiday season. A highlight will be a performance of 'Phrivolous Physics’, a collection of Physics parodies, written by Alfred Bamford’s son Alec and sung by Mike Bamford’s son, musician Josh Bamford and friends. A unique, light-hearted evening of music and fun.

Celebrate the wildlife that inhabits Joondalup and Wanneroo in this community art activity. Come to the Gallery and help to transform our boring street lawn into a thriving Nature Strip full of native animals. The Nature Strip will be on display in the gallery until the close of the Artful Gene Project exhibition on 13 January 2016.

Open Day at the Artful Gene

Time to celebrate the ‘evolution’ of the Artful Gene exhibition. A chance to view the completed Lake Joondalup Mural and Nature Strip community art pieces, created as part of the project. Come along and chat to Mike and others who have helped to create the Artful Gene Project.

Gardens for Wildlife

In this fun and interactive workshop, Mike & Mandy Bamford will talk about the animals that share Perth’s suburbs and how to encourage urban wildlife to live in your garden. While you are at the gallery, take a last look at the Artful Gene exhibition before it closes.
